In response to community members seeking easier access to volunteer opportunities, the Eden Prairie Community Education Community Involvement Committee received grant funding to launch a new volunteer website. Edenprairievolunteers.org connects citizens with the many volunteer opportunities available in our community.

The Eden Prairie Volunteers website is ready to receive local volunteer opportunity postings! Local organization's volunteer opportunity/s can be listed on the website by visiting www.edenprairievolunteers.org directly and selecting "click here to post your opportunity." Enter the required information regarding a specific opportunity and click "Submit." Volunteer opportunities can also be submitted by completing the Volunteer Opportunity Form [Adobe Acrobat form which can be completed electronically] or call us at 952-975-6869 for more information.

People interested in volunteering can search the website for volunteer opportunities by organization name, type of opportunity or by age requirements. Information contained on a volunteer posting will include a description of the help needed, location, dates and times, age requirements, contact name and phone number, and often times a link to that organization's web site. Later this year a catalog of volunteer opportunity contacts will be available at key locations within Eden Prairie. This new and exciting community initiative will help us all to "get connected" and increase community involvement through enhanced access to community service.
